FORT LAUDERDALE – A Broward County man alleges his former employer unlawfully withheld wages.

Khader Azzeh filed a complaint on Feb. 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Galaxy Telecom Services Inc. and Salvatore Linary citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between September 2011 and May 2016, he worked for the defendants for an agreed-to salary of $78,000 year. He alleges that when the defendant switched from weekly paychecks to bi-monthly, his annual salary was changed to $75,000, but the defendants promised the unpaid wages would be paid by December 2015. The plaintiff holds Galaxy Telecom Services Inc. and Linary responsible because the defendants allegedly withheld plaintiff's wages, failed to reimburse him for expenses and overtime.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid wages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Gustavo A. Bravo and Richard A. McEachin of Bravo Law in Plantation.
