Complete Highway Improvement alleged to owe unpaid overtime wages to former workers

Law money 08

MIAMI – Three Highlands County residents allege they are owed for unpaid overtime work.

Pedro Luis Abeytua, Reinaldo Muniz Viera, Edwin Rendon Arango filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated individuals on Jan. 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Complete Highway Improvement Inc. and Luis Edgar Moreno citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, Abeytua and Arango worked 144 hours per week, and Viera alleges he is owed for 622 hours of overtime from his period of employment. The plaintiffs hold Complete Highway Improvement Inc. and Moreno responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay the plaintiffs any overtime premiums at a rate of time-and-one-half for working more than 40 hours per week.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek double damages, all overtime wages still owing, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Alex Dehghani of Dehghani Law P.A. in Miami Lake.
