Woman says Carnival Cruise Lines is responsible for fall injuries

Cruise 03

FORT LAUDERDALE — A passenger is suing Carnival Corporation, d/b/a Carnival Cruise Lines, a cruise ship company, alleging negligence in connection with a fall.

Susanna Nikko filed a complaint on Jan. 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Carnival Corporation, d/b/a Carnival Cruise Lines, alleging that the cruise ship company failed to keep the floor of its vessel free from any foreign substance that could cause an accident.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 25, she slipped and fell, causing injuries to her left knee. The plaintiff holds Carnival Corporation, d/b/a Carnival Cruise Lines, responsible because the defendant allegedly allowed the hazardous condition and failed to warn the plaintiff about it.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, medical expenses, all legal fees plus interest and any other relief as this court deems just. She is represented by Spencer Aronfeld, Jonathan D. Carvajal, and Lovecia A. Holmes of Aronfeld Trial Lawyers in Coral Gables.
