Law money 06

MIAMI – A Broward County man alleges he was not adequately compensated for the hours he worked and was misclassified as an independent contractor. He has filed a class-action suit.

Bryan Ferraro filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on Jan. 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Nationwide Transport Services LLC alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours without being paid minimum wages or overtime compensation at a rate of time-and-one-half. The plaintiff holds Nationwide Transport Services LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly compensate the plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks minimum wages due to the plaintiff, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Daniel R. Levine of Padula Bennardo Levine LLP in Boca Raton.
