Tampa resident alleges property illegally foreclosed

TAMPA — A Tampa resident is suing is suing circuit court clerk and several banks, citing alleged violation of civil rights/human rights and wrongful foreclosure.

Surgret Urania Doss filed a complaint on Jan. 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Pat Frank, Clerk of the Circuit Court; Wells Fargo Bank; Deutsche Bank National Trust Co., et al alleging that they violated his constitutional rights and right to due process.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in February 2016, after acquiring properties from David Acevedo, he became the lawful owner of multiple properties for personal and business use. When the properties became part of foreclosure proceedings, the plaintiff was denied his rights and should be entitled to due process. He holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly conspired and collaborated to hurry the foreclosure process, including issuing void and unlawful judgments and orders in an effort to conduct illegal sales of the plaintiff's property.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks temporary and emergency injunction for a minimum of 180 days to prevent further adverse actions, reverse all actions of the 13th Judicial Circuit regarding the properties that were unlawfully removed and amend the complaint to include parties that may be unknown at this present time, if needed.
