Palm Beach law firm adds new estate lawyer

PALM BEACH GARDENS – Attorney Joshua L. Plager recently joined the team of lawyers at Boyes, Farina and Matwiczyk.

According to a news release, Plager handles cases involving probate and trust litigation, as well as trust and estate administration, guardianship law, fiduciary litigation and estate planning.

Plager obtained his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude. During his years in law school, he was selected as the as senior notes and comments editor of the University of Miami Law Review. The same publication published his paper, “All Things Equal: Unintended Consequences & Allegedly Misrepresented Statistics,” in 2013.

Plager completed his Bachelor of Science in business administration at the University of Florida. He graduated cum laude, with a major in economics. According to his profile on his new firm's website, Plager has been admitted to both the Florida Bar as well as to the U.S. District Court Southern District of Florida.

The addition of Plager brings the firm's number of lawyers to nine.

Boyes, Farina and Matwiczyk was established in 1994. The firm has concentrated on cases involving intra-family dispute resolution, estate planning and administration, tax-court litigation, and fiduciary litigation. They also handle probate and trust litigation, expert witness services, probate, estate, trust, tax and guardianship legal services for the elderly and minors and counsel. The firm’s partners – Bill Boyes, John Farina and Peter Matwiczyk – are all board-certified by the Florida Bar in the fields of wills, trusts and estates.

Most of the firm's lawyers have been AV-Rated by Martindale Hubbell and are recognized by the Florida Super Lawyers. The attorneys are listed under the Top Lawyers in the South Florida Legal Guide. The law firm has fellows of the the American College of Trusts and Estate Counsel, as well as acknowledged in the list of the Best Lawyers in America.

According to the firm's website, Farina recently was named a 2017 Top 100 Trusts and Estates lawyer by the American Society of Legal Advocates. It was Farina's third year in a row of being selected for the honor.

Boyes, Farina and Matwiczyk caters to clients throughout South Florida, including Palm Beach, Broward, Okeechobee, Martin and St. Lucie counties.
