MIAMI — A former employee of a gas station and convenience store is suing Eliana Corporation and owners Domingo Marte and Miguel A. Marte, alleging violation of wage law.

Henry Ruben Muralles Gonzalez filed a complaint on Dec. 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against the defendants, alleging that they failed to pay him proper wages.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours per week without receiving proper overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly violated the Fair Labor Standards Act.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages, liquidated damages, interest, all legal fees and interest plus any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Brian H. Pollock of Fairlaw Firm in Miami.
