MIAMI — A man is suing Kay Jewelers d/b/a Sterling Jewelers Inc., allegingd violation of telephone harassment statutes.
Constantine Iatrellis filed a complaint on Dec. 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Kay Jewelers d/b/a Sterling Jewelers Inc. alleging that the business entity called his cellular telephone several times.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, in 2016, he suffered damages from being called several times despite his demand to cease calling his cellular telephone. The plaintiff holds Kay Jewelers d/b/a Sterling Jewelers Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly used an automatic telephone dialing system to call his phone.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages of $500, treble damages, and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Stan Michael Maslona of Lemberg Law, LLC in Wilton, Connecticut.
