Law money 08

MIAMI — An employee is suing a Miami company, alleging unpaid wages and violation of workers compensation acts.

James Jordan filed a class action complaint, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, Dec. 1 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida Miami Division against PTE Systems International LLC, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, Jordan worked more than 40 hours per week from June 2012 to Oct. 31, 2016, without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff alleges PTE Systems failed to pay the overtime premium of time and half for working more than 40 hours per week as required by FLSA.

Jordan seeks trial by jury, all unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorney Richard Celler of Richard Celler Legal PA in Davie.
