Insurance 10

MIAMI — A man is suing Hartford Life and Accident Insurance Company, citing alleged breach of contract.

David P. Cox filed a complaint on Nov. 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Hartford Life and Accident Insurance Company, alleging that the insurance firm wrongly denied his claim for disability benefits.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2014, he became disabled and was initially being paid disability benefits until they were terminated in 2016. The plaintiff holds Hartford Life and Accident Insurance Company responsible because the defendant allegedly refused to pay him disability benefits despite his continuing disability according to the terms of the plan.

The plaintiff seeks payment of disability benefits due, reinstatement, all legal fees and interest plus any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Alexandra A. Palamara and Gregory Michael Dell of Attorneys Dell and Schaefer Chartered in Hollywood.
