Life Insurance Company of North America accused of improperly denying claim for benefits

Insurance 07

PENSACOLA, Florida — A man is suing Life Insurance Company of North America, citing alleged breach of contract.

Richard G. Conrad filed a complaint on Nov. 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida against Life Insurance Company of North America, alleging that the insurance firm wrongly denied his claim for disability benefits.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2016, he became disabled and was initially being paid disability benefits until they were terminated. The plaintiff holds Life Insurance Company of North America responsible because the defendant allegedly upheld its decision to deny his disability benefits despite his disability.

The plaintiff seeks all benefits still owing, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Nick A. Ortiz of Ortiz Law Firm in Pensacola.
