Man sued by DOE for unpaid debt

FLORIDA — A government entity is suing Alvino Blanco, an individual, citing alleged breach of contract and unpaid debt.

United States of America, through the Department of Education, filed a complaint on Oct. 27, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Alvino Blanco alleging that the individual failed to settle his debt with plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that United States of America suffered damages due to unpaid debt. The plaintiff holds Alvino Blanco responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay the principal amount of his debt to the plaintiff plus interest.

The plaintiff seeks $2,793 as principal amount plus $4,276.29 as interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. They are represented by Steven M. Davis of Becker & Poliakoff, P.A. in Coral Gables.
