FLORIDA — A passenger is suing NCL (BAHAMAS) Ltd., d/b/a Norwegian Cruise Lines and NCL Corporation Ltd., a cruise ship company, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries and negligence.
Betty Arnold filed a complaint on Oct. 24, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against NCL (BAHAMAS) Ltd., d/b/a Norwegian Cruise Lines and NCL Corporation Ltd., alleging that the cruise ship company failed to keep the floor of their vessel dry.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, on Oct. 31, 2015, she sustained physical injuries when she slipped and fell due to a puddle of water on the floor. The plaintiff holds NCL (BAHAMAS) Ltd., d/b/a Norwegian Cruise Lines and NCL Corporation Ltd. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide adequate warning to the plaintiff regarding the hazardous condition of the floor.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages in excess of $75,000 plus interest, court costs and any other relief this court deems just. She is represented by Louis A. Vucci of Louis A. Vucci, P.A. in Miami.
