FLORIDA — An employee is suing Macaluso's & Co. Inc., Macalusos Inc., and Michael D' Andrea, employer, citing alleged unpaid wages and violation of applicable minimum wage law.

Jose Maderos filed a complaint on Oct. 20, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against the defendants alleging that they failed to pay fair compensation to the plaintiff under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours without being paid any overtime compensation of minimum wage. The plaintiff holds Macaluso's & Co. Inc., Macalusos Inc., and Michael D' Andrea responsible because the defendants allegedly fail to pay overtime premium to the plaintiff for working more than 40 hours.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid overtime wages, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Robert W. Brock II of Law Office of Lowell J. Kuvin in Miami.
