MIAMI — A consumer is suing Allgate Financial, LLC, a debt collector, citing alleged misrepresentation in debt collection.
Sherene Lambe filed a complaint on Oct. 19 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida Miami Division against Allgate Financial, LLC alleging that the debt collector sent a collection letter to plaintiff.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she suffered damages from receiving a collection letter that contains insufficient information. The plaintiff holds Allgate Financial LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to indicate in the collection letter they sent the plaintiff that it came from a debt collector.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant and any other relief this court deems just. She is represented by Bruce B. Baldwin of Debt Defense Law in Coral Gables.
