MIAMI — A passenger is suing Carnival Corp., a cruise ship company, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries and negligence.
Wan Chen filed a complaint on Oct. 14, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida Miami Division against Carnival Corp. alleging that the cruise ship company failed to clean the large puddle of salad dressing on the floor.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, on July 16, she sustained serious physical injuries when she slipped and fell. The plaintiff holds Carnival Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide adequate warning to their passengers regarding the hazardous condition of the floor.
The plaintiff seeks damages, all medical expenses, all legal fees and interest plus any other relief this court deems just. She is represented by Scott Merl of Scott Merl, P.A. in Miami.
