FLORIDA — An employee is suing The American Language Kollege, Inc. and Desmond Levin, employer, citing alleged unpaid wages and violation of workers compensation acts.
Ulrike Fesseler Von Stargard filed a complaint on Oct. 17, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against the defendants alleging that they failed to provide fair compensation to the plaintiff for her work.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked for more than 40 hours without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds The American Language Kollege, Inc. and Desmond Levin responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay plaintiff any overtime premium for working more than 40 hours.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all due overtime compensation, unpaid overtime wages of $3,585, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief this court deems just. She is represented by Roderick V. Hannah of Roderick V. Hannah, ESQ., P.A. in Plantation.
