Traveler on Carnival Victory alleges she was injured in fall on stairs

Cruise 10

MIAMI – A Carnival Victory cruise passenger alleges the negligence of the ship's owners caused her to fall while walking on stairs.

Donna Padula filed a complaint on Sept. 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against Carnival Corp., doing business as Carnival Cruise Line, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in Dec. 16, 2015, she sustained physical injuries from falling while walking down a staircase. The plaintiff holds Carnival Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly allowed the staircase of its vessel to be relatively unsafe for plaintiff and its passengers.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages plus interest. She is represented by Michael D. Eriksen of Eriksen Law Firm in West Palm Beach.
