ORLANDO – A Seminole County man that a debt collector harassed him by calling him numerous times in an attempt to collect an alleged consumer debt.

Christopher Dunn filed a complaint on Sept. 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division against Midland Credit Management Inc. citing the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in April 2015, he suffered damage from receiving several collection calls on his cellular telephone on average of three times per day in an attempt to collect an alleged debt. The plaintiff holds Midland Credit Management Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly used an automatic telephone dialing system in contacting plaintiff despite the plaintiff revoking his consent.
