Noble Communications owes wages, woman alleges

Law money 10

ORLANDO – A woman alleges her Orange County employer owes her unpaid wages.

Nikol Almeida filed a complaint on behalf of those similarly situated on April 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida Orlando Division against Noble Communications Inc. and Suleman Jiwani alleging that they violated the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked for more than 40 hours per week without proper overtime compensation and was denied wages to which she is entitled. The plaintiff holds Noble Communications Inc. and Jiwani responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to compensate her at a rate of not less than time-and-one-half of her regular rate for each hour worked in excess of 40 per week, failed to include commissions earned and failed to maintain proper time records.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensation for damages, prejudgment and post-judgment interest, costs of this suit, attorneys' fees and such other relief as the court may deem just and proper. She is represented by Richard Celler of Celler Legal PA in Davie.
