In a compelling legal battle, a Florida resident has taken action against a property management company following an unfortunate incident that resulted in significant personal injury. On March 7, 2025, Stephen Jakobowski filed a complaint in the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, against Keystone Property Group of Florida, LLC. The case revolves around allegations of negligence leading to premises liability.

According to the complaint, on February 14, 2024, Jakobowski was lawfully present as a business invitee at Keystone Property Group's premises located at 1200 N Federal Hwy in Palm Beach County. During his visit, he encountered an improperly maintained threshold at the building's entrance. This threshold allegedly created an unsafe walking surface due to a change in elevation, posing a tripping hazard. As Jakobowski attempted to enter the building, he tripped over this threshold and suffered a severe fall resulting in permanent bodily injury.

Jakobowski's lawsuit claims that Keystone Property Group failed to uphold its duty to maintain safe premises for its visitors. The plaintiff accuses the defendant of several acts of negligence: allowing hazardous conditions to exist on their property, failing to maintain or inspect the premises adequately, neglecting to correct known dangers, and not warning visitors about these risks. "The Defendant breached its duty," states the complaint, highlighting that these failures directly led to Jakobowski's injuries.

The plaintiff seeks compensatory damages exceeding $50,000 for his injuries and suffering. These damages include pain and suffering—both physical and mental—disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment of life, and medical expenses related to hospitalization and treatment. Jakobowski emphasizes that these losses are either permanent or ongoing and will continue into the future.

Represented by attorney Ernesto G. Rivero from Morgan & Morgan P.A., Jakobowski demands judgment against Keystone Property Group for compensatory damages above the court's minimum jurisdictional limits. He also requests post-judgment interest and costs associated with the case. A jury trial has been demanded on all issues triable by right.

The Case Number is: 502025CA002162XXXAMB Div: AO.
