Andre Green and Aysia Letendre have filed a lawsuit against Tulsi Investment One LLC, alleging negligence after a terrifying incident at a Holiday Inn. The complaint was filed in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida, on February 3, 2025. The plaintiffs claim that Tulsi Investment One LLC is responsible for injuries they sustained when an elevator ceiling collapsed on June 19, 2024.
According to the complaint, Andre Green and Aysia Letendre were lawfully present at the Holiday Inn located at 2580 Gulf to Bay Blvd in Clearwater, Florida. While using an elevator on the premises owned and operated by Tulsi Investment One LLC, the ceiling suddenly gave way, striking both individuals and causing severe injuries. The plaintiffs argue that the dangerous condition of the elevator ceiling was something that Tulsi Investment One LLC knew or should have known about through reasonable care.
The lawsuit outlines several allegations against Tulsi Investment One LLC. It claims that the company failed to properly inspect and maintain the elevator ceiling and surrounding structures, did not repair or replace the defective ceiling despite being aware of its hazardous state, and neglected to warn guests like Green and Letendre about these dangers. As a result of this alleged negligence, Green and Letendre suffered various injuries including bodily harm, physical pain, disability, mental anguish, loss of earning capacity, and incurred medical expenses.
Green and Letendre are seeking judgment exceeding $50,000 from Tulsi Investment One LLC for general damages along with costs and interest. They demand compensation for their injuries which include both past and future medical expenses as well as damages for their diminished quality of life due to ongoing physical impairments.
