Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney continues its strategic growth with the addition of Jessica Gordon in its Tampa office. Gordon joins the firm’s real estate practice group as Counsel. Her practice is focused on representing clients in a variety of real estate transactions.

“Florida continues to be a key area of opportunity for real estate, and adding Jessica to our team allows us to grow this practice further and enhance value for our clients,” said Adele Stone, shareholder and real estate practice group leader.

Gordon negotiates commercial leases on behalf of both landlords and tenants in office, retail, hospitality, agriculture and manufacturing industries as well as purchase/sale agreements for real property, loan documents, licenses, services agreements and other ancillary documents related to real estate development and management.

Gordon also advises clients in connection with a variety of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt transactions, corporate restructurings, private equity, venture capital, joint venture and other strategic licensing arrangements. She advises clients on entity selection and formation, management structure, equity compensation and issuance of securities.

“Buchanan is the right fit for my real estate practice, and I look forward to working with my colleagues to advance the goals of our clients,” said Gordon.

Prior to joining Buchanan, Gordon practiced commercial real estate, corporate and securities law in both large and boutique firms for 13 years. She worked in wealth management and political advisement prior to practicing law. Gordon holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and a law degree from William & Mary School of Law.
