Stanley Leffler has filed a lawsuit alleging medical negligence against a Florida-based hospital and one of its doctors, claiming they failed to diagnose his severe hip injury in a timely manner. The complaint was filed by Stanley Leffler on January 8, 2025, in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, against Boca Raton Regional Hospital and Dr. Joshua D. Glauser.

According to the court documents, Stanley Leffler accuses Dr. Joshua D. Glauser and Boca Raton Regional Hospital of failing to diagnose his proximal right femur fracture and corresponding hip injuries during his stay at the hospital from April 16 to April 19, 2022. The plaintiff asserts that despite complaining of extreme pain in his hip, further testing was not conducted, nor was an orthopedist consulted before he was discharged. As a result of these alleged oversights, Leffler's condition went undiagnosed until May 17, 2022.

The lawsuit claims that both Dr. Glauser and the hospital breached their duty to provide care according to accepted medical standards. It states that "Defendants owed Stanley Leffler a duty in accordance with the accepted standard of care for similar healthcare providers," which they allegedly failed to uphold. The plaintiff argues that this failure led to significant harm including bodily injuries, pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of enjoyment of life, and financial losses due to medical expenses and lost earnings.

Leffler's legal team contends that all conditions precedent required by Florida law have been met prior to filing this lawsuit. They emphasize that notices of intent were given as per Florida Statutes §766.106(2), ensuring compliance with procedural requirements for medical malpractice claims.

In seeking redress from the court, Stanley Leffler demands judgment against both defendants for damages exceeding $50,000—exclusive of costs and interest—as well as any additional relief deemed appropriate by the court. He is also requesting a jury trial.

Representing Stanley Leffler is Todd D. Rosen from Todd Rosen Law Group based in Miami, Florida. The case ID is: 502025CA000164XXXAMB Div: AE.
