A Palm Beach County resident has taken legal action against two corporations, alleging negligence after a severe fall. Adria L. Fleites filed the complaint on December 27, 2024, in the Circuit Court for the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, naming CVS Pharmacy, Inc., and AF Greenacres, LLC as defendants.
According to the lawsuit, Fleites claims that on June 9, 2023, she was an invitee at a CVS drug store located at 3969 S. Military Trail in Greenacres when she tripped over a chain in the parking lot. The incident resulted in significant injuries that Fleites asserts are both severe and permanent. She accuses both CVS and Greenacres of failing to maintain the parking lot in a safe condition and neglecting their duty to warn her of potential hazards.
The complaint details that both defendants had control over the premises and were responsible for its upkeep. It states that they should have been aware of any dangerous conditions due to regular inspections or through reasonable care. Fleites alleges that these conditions were either known or should have been known by the defendants due to their persistence over time.
Fleites is seeking damages exceeding $50,000 for bodily injury, pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of enjoyment of life, medical expenses, and lost earnings. She argues that these damages are ongoing and will continue into the future.
Represented by SteinLaw P.A., with Lance A. Garrett as her attorney, Fleites demands a jury trial to resolve these issues. The case is identified under Case Number: 502024CA012223XXXAMB Div: AK.
