Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A. Shareholders Iris Escarrá, Courtney M. Keller, and Marina Olman-Pal are recognized on this year’s list of Florida women leaders in law by Florida Trend.
Florida Trend’s “Notable Women Leaders in Law” list recognizes women who have made notable impacts on the legal profession and mentor or act as a role model for others in the workplace, according to the publication. Honorees were selected based on a nomination process and are featured in the publication’s December 2024 issue as part of its Legal Elite Notable series.
“This recognition underscores Iris, Courtney, and Marina’s excellent leadership and their commitment to driving positive change within the firm and beyond,” Greenberg Traurig Senior Chairman Matthew B. Gorson said. “They serve as role models for others at Greenberg Traurig, and we are proud of their accomplishments and impact on the legal profession.”
Based in the Miami office, Escarrá serves as the national co-chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Land Use Practice, overseeing a team of about 50 attorneys across Florida and the United States. She represents property owners and developers in large development projects valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars. With her counsel, dozens of high-profile commercial, mixed-use, and residential projects have been completed throughout Miami over the past two decades. Additionally, she serves as a board member for Friends of the Underline and was previously an advisory board member for the Southeast Florida/Caribbean chapter of the Urban Land Institute. Through pro bono work, she helped secure zoning and land use approvals for a new Bay of Pigs Museum and Library and a new headquarters and “wish house” for Make-A-Wish Southern Florida.
Keller helps lead the Orlando office as administrative shareholder and co-chair of the Orlando Litigation Practice. In her 18-year career as a complex commercial litigation attorney, she has secured numerous favorable pretrial and trial judgments in high-stakes business disputes before state and federal courts. Her recent litigation wins include securing several zero-liability dismissals for major financial institutions, saving them from potential multimillion-dollar claims and reputational harm. Keller gives back to her community through organizations such as the Downtown Orlando Partnership and the Orlando Economic Partnership. She also is the 2025 president-elect and a long-time board member for Commercial Real Estate Women Orlando. Keller led the organization’s scholarship program and helped establish its DEI committee.
As co-chair of the firm’s Financial Regulatory & Compliance Practice, Olman-Pal represents foreign and U.S. financial institutions on a broad range of U.S. federal and state regulatory matters. With almost two decades of legal experience, she has worked on numerous complex transactions and regulatory matters in the banking and fintech sectors, focusing her practice on Latin America as well as the United States. She also chairs the Financial & International Business Association (FIBA)’s Legal and Regulatory Affairs Committee and serves on FIBA’s board of directors. Through her involvement with FIBA, she worked pro bono to advocate on behalf of the Florida banking community in connection with various legislative and regulatory proposals including Florida’s new “fair access law.” She also is a member of the CrossTech Regulatory and Compliance Committee, working to develop educational programs to inform the cross-border payments industry of new laws and regulatory developments.
