Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce Emily Chase-Sosnoff has joined its Tampa office as a principal. Emily is a trusted advisor and seasoned litigator with more than a decade of experience representing employers in a wide range of workplace law disputes.

“Emily has a rare skill set that allows her to proactively guide clients away from the pitfalls that can lead to litigation, yet she's always prepared to step in and successfully defend their interests in court when necessary," said Tampa Office Managing Principal Benjamin D. Sharkey. “She will add tremendous value to the firm and the clients she serves, and we are thrilled to welcome her to Jackson Lewis.”

Emily devotes a large portion of her practice to providing proactive advice and counsel to employers navigating the complexities of workplace law. She advises business leaders, human resources professionals and managers on complex employee relations matters such as performance management, leaves of absence, discipline and termination. Emily frequently helps ensure multi-state employers comply with state-specific requirements, including wage and hour, drug testing and leave laws. She also conducts trainings on sexual harassment, ADA and FMLA compliance, and diversity, equity and inclusion and assists clients with implementing policies that foster a productive and healthy workplace culture.

“Joining Jackson Lewis is such an exciting milestone in my career,” said Emily. “The goal of my work has always been to help clients foster strong, positive employer-employee relationships by aligning my support with their specific needs. I am looking forward to bringing this approach to the firm as we work together to assist and protect employers across industries.”

In addition to her advice and counsel practice, Emily has represented employers from the education, healthcare, hospitality, restaurant, manufacturing and insurance industries in matters before the EEOC and Florida state and federal courts. She has successfully litigated a host of workplace law issues, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, disability accommodation, FMLA leave, wage and hour issues and employment contract disputes.

The firm’s expanding Tampa office also recently welcomed prominent principal Eric B. Moody, who joined the firm in August.

Emily earned her J.D. from the Chicago-Kent College of Law and her B.A. from the University of Chicago.
