Linda Lemos has filed a lawsuit against Paradise Exteriors Roofing LLC, alleging negligence after an incident that left her injured. The complaint was filed on November 5, 2024, in the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida. The plaintiff claims that while she was lawfully present at a property where Paradise Exteriors was conducting roof repairs, an employee's negligence resulted in a hammer falling and causing her bodily harm.

According to the details laid out in the complaint by Linda Lemos, the incident occurred on August 19, 2024, at 560 SW 15th Street in Boca Raton. Lemos was exiting the premises when she was struck by a hammer allegedly dropped by one of Paradise Exteriors' employees working on the roof. This unexpected event caused her significant injuries, which have led to this legal action. Lemos asserts that as an invitee on the property, she was owed a duty of care by Paradise Exteriors to ensure her safety while they conducted their business operations.

The lawsuit accuses Paradise Exteriors Roofing LLC of multiple counts of negligence. It is alleged that they failed to maintain a safe working environment and did not adequately warn or protect Lemos from potential hazards created by their work activities. Furthermore, it is claimed that there were insufficient staff assigned to manage and inspect for dangerous conditions and that employees were inadequately trained regarding safety protocols. The complaint also highlights that after the incident occurred, aid was either negligently rendered or not provided at all to Lemos.

As a result of these alleged failures, Linda Lemos suffered various injuries including pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, and loss of enjoyment of life. She also faces ongoing medical expenses and has experienced a loss of earning capacity due to her injuries. The damages sought exceed $50,000 exclusive of costs and interest.

Representing Linda Lemos is attorney Byron Jackson from Morgan & Morgan P.A., who has demanded a jury trial for this case. The case ID is 502024CA010568XXXAMB Div: AJ.
