Continuing its growth in real estate, Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli has welcomed Cameron B Weil as a shareholder in its New York City and Miami offices. Weil represents investors, sellers, buyers, owners and lenders in successfully navigating complexities in the real estate and related capital markets. Additionally, he has extensive experience advising clients on real estate securities offerings, including Delaware statutory trusts (DSTs), real estate investment trusts (REITs) and opportunity zone (OZ) funds.
As real estate continues to be a major focus for Polsinelli, he is the ninth shareholder the firm has added in the practice this past year. He is the seventh new shareholder in the firm’s New York office and fifth in Miami during the same timeframe, underscoring the continued expansion efforts in both cities, most recently with the addition of Real Estate Shareholder Vasiliki Yiannoulis-Riva.
“We are excited to continue our recent real estate momentum in New York and further build out our team,” said Gabriel Yomi Dabiri, New York Office Managing Partner. “This has been a great year for our New York office, and we continue to see strong demand for our services across all practice areas.”
“Cameron is a great addition to our team and will complement our service offering nationwide,” said Amy K. Hansen, Chair of the Real Estate Practice. “His deep experience with REITs, DSTs and OZ funds is an excellent addition to our New York office and further expands our footprint for this work.”
“I am thrilled to be part of a firm that not only shares my passion for real estate but is also at the forefront of expanding into critical markets like New York and Florida,” said Weil. “In addition to a significant roster of more than 140 attorneys focused on real estate, Polsinelli’s designated Real Estate Finance, DST and REIT focused practices provide unique opportunities to address the growing demand for specialized real estate solutions.”
Joining Polsinelli from an Am Law 100 firm, Weil has over a decade of experience and has successfully closed real estate transactions worth several billion dollars for sellers, buyers, owners, lenders and issuers of securities. Earlier in his career, he was assistant general counsel for the real estate division of a major investment bank and sponsor of DSTs, OZs and REITs. From transaction structuring to capital raising and closing, he uses a multidisciplinary approach to effectively collaborate with clients across all facets of real estate.
Weil holds an LL.M. in International Business from the New York University School of Law, received his J.D., cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School with a Certificate in Real Estate and a B.A., cum laude, from Boston University.
