Fox Rothschild congratulates Carol E. Thorstad-Forsyth, who was appointed by the American Intellectual Property Law Association’s (AIPLA) board and incoming president as Chair of the Membership Committee. She will serve a two-year term starting in October 2024.
In this role, Thorstad-Forsyth will collaborate with the board to further the organization’s strategic goals and define key initiatives and responsibilities for the committee. This includes identifying potential future leaders and providing them with the necessary training and development.
A longstanding and active member of AIPLA, Thorstad-Forsyth previously served as Vice Chair of the Membership Committee and as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Women in IP Committee (WiIPC). She also served as Chair of WiIPC’s Outreach Subcommittee, where she helped organize numerous events that provided members with unique networking opportunities on an international level.
Thorstad-Forsyth also founded and is the former Co-Chair of the AIPLA Cares Women in IP National Community Service Event.
A partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property Department, Thorstad-Forsyth guides market leaders in global communications, consumer goods, defense contracting and software solutions on how to best protect their intellectual property.
