A man has filed a lawsuit against three companies after suffering severe injuries at an event. Howard Dean Dratt filed the complaint in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, on August 22, 2024, naming RSBC Real Estate Company, LLLP, M/Y Cafe, LLC, and Palm Beach Car Club, LLC as defendants.

The incident occurred on March 18, 2022, when Dratt attended an event at the premises located at 4200 N Flagler Drive in West Palm Beach. The event was organized to showcase motorsports, food, fashion, and lifestyle. According to the complaint, Dratt was walking past a car that had been placed near the edge of the premises when he fell several feet onto a dock below. The fall resulted in serious injuries including pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of capacity for enjoyment of life, medical expenses, and loss of earning capacity.

Dratt alleges that RSBC Real Estate Company owned and controlled the premises where the event took place. He claims that RSBC allowed a car to be placed in an unreasonably dark area adjacent to a vertical drop-off that was not readily apparent. This placement created a dangerous falling hazard which RSBC failed to address or warn about. The complaint states that RSBC had actual or constructive notice of this dangerous condition but neglected its duty to maintain a safe environment for guests.

Similarly, M/Y Cafe LLC is accused of negligence for allowing the car to be placed in such a hazardous location. The complaint mirrors the allegations made against RSBC Real Estate Company: failure to maintain safe conditions on their premises and failure to warn invitees about latent dangers.

Palm Beach Car Club LLC is also named as a defendant because it held and managed the event where Dratt's accident occurred. The club is accused of failing to ensure that vehicles were displayed safely and not near dangerous drop-offs. Like RSBC and M/Y Cafe LLC., Palm Beach Car Club allegedly knew or should have known about these hazards but did nothing to mitigate them.

Dratt seeks damages exceeding fifty thousand dollars from each defendant for his injuries and losses. He demands judgment against all three companies along with pre-judgment interest where applicable. Additionally, he requests a jury trial on all triable issues.

Representing Howard Dean Dratt is Joseph F. Stallone from Goldman & Daszkal P.A.
