Holland & Knight Strengthens Corporate and Healthcare Practices with Addition of Ibrahim Barakat in Miami

Holland & Knight has bolstered its Corporate, M&A and Securities Practice Group with the addition of Ibrahim Barakat as a partner in Miami. Mr. Barakat represents public and private corporations, private equity funds and strategic investors in connection with a wide range of transactional and corporate matters. He was previously a partner with McDermott Will & Emery.

"Ibrahim is a very highly regarded attorney whose extensive client base, investment banking and other relationships and experience in private equity and M&A transactions, especially in healthcare, will help strengthen our relationships with current clients and grow our corporate practice," said David Barkus, co-leader of the firm's Corporate, M&A and Securities Practice Group and leader of the firm's Private Equity Team. "Ibrahim's experience with cross-border M&A transactions in Latin America also fits with the firm's strengths and client needs. Mr. Barakat earned a J.D. degree from Cornell Law School and a B.B.A. degree from the University of Miami.
