A Florida couple has filed a lawsuit seeking damages exceeding $50,000 after a dog attack left one of them with severe injuries. Jonathan Viera and his wife, Tiffany A. Viera, filed the complaint against Cris Anderson in the Circuit Court of Palm Beach County on August 5, 2024.

According to the court documents, Jonathan Viera was lawfully present at Anderson's residence on February 4, 2023, when he was attacked by Anderson's dogs. The plaintiffs allege that Anderson failed to properly monitor his dogs, resulting in the attack that caused severe and permanent injuries to Jonathan Viera. The complaint states that as a direct result of Anderson's negligence, Jonathan suffered bodily injuries, pain, physical handicap, loss of earnings, and incurred medical expenses. The injuries are described as either permanent or continuing in nature.

The lawsuit further details the impact on Tiffany A. Viera, who claims she has suffered indirect economic losses and a diminishment of companionship due to her husband's injuries. She also incurred medical expenses for her husband's treatment. The plaintiffs argue that these losses are ongoing and will continue into the future.

The Vieras are seeking an amount in excess of $50,000 plus interest and costs from Cris Anderson. They have demanded a trial by jury for all issues triable by right.

Representing the plaintiffs are attorneys Marc A. Kaufman and H. Seth Rosenthal from Marc A. Kaufman & Associates based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
