Holland & Knight has received a top-score on the 2024 Disability Equality Index® and has been named one of the 2024 Best Places to Work for People with Disabilities. The index is the world's most comprehensive benchmarking tool for Fortune 1000 scope companies to measure disability workplace inclusion inside their organization and to assess performance across industry sectors. Holland & Knight received a score of 90 on the index and is one of nine law firms to be recognized.

"This recognition is a testament to Holland & Knight's commitment to advancing disability inclusion in the workplace. With the support of firm leadership, our DiverseAbility Affinity Group and departments across the firm are working together to support and enhance the professional, personal and career development of attorneys and staff affected by disabilities of all types – physical and mental," said Holland & Knight Chair and Chief Executive Officer Bob Grammig. "We remain committed to ensuring equity and accessibility in the workplace for all of our employees and appreciate this recognition of our efforts."

The Disability Equality Index was launched in 2015 in the United States as a joint initiative of Disability:IN and The American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) and is acknowledged today as the most robust disability inclusion assessment tool in business. In 2024, 542 corporations, including 71 Fortune 100 and 220 Fortune 500 companies, utilized the Disability Equality Index to benchmark their disability inclusion efforts.

The 2024 index measured Culture & Leadership, Enterprise-Wide Access, Employment Practices (Benefits; Recruitment; Employment, Education, Retention & Advancement; Accommodations), Community Engagement, Supplier Diversity and Responsible Procurement (Non-Weighted).

Holland & Knight's DiverseAbility Affinity Group was established in 2021 to attract, support and promote attorneys and staff affected by disabilities of all types – visible and invisible – by helping to maintain an environment that is inclusive, challenging and supportive to maximize both personal and career successes. The firm is a signatory of the American Bar Association's Pledge for Change: Disability Diversity in the Legal Profession, which upholds the firm's commitment to disability diversity and recognizes that diversity is in the best interest of the firm, legal profession and those the profession serves. In 2023, Holland & Knight was among the more than 90 leading law firms in the U.S., U.K. and Canada to partner with Diversity Lab to continue building a culture of inclusion for people with disabilities.
