Woman sues City of Lake Worth Beach for negligence in vehicular accident

According to the complaint, on June 6, 2022, Flerisemene Noel Jeune was driving a Toyota Rav4 when a garbage truck operated by city employee Taudra Marquisha Leslie made an abrupt left turn and collided with Mr. Jeune's vehicle. The plaintiff alleges substantial and permanent injuries as a result of this accident. 

The plaintiff claims that Leslie was negligent in operating the garbage truck and that the City of Lake Worth Beach is liable under Florida Statutes §768.28 and the Doctrine of Respondeat Superior. Mr. Jeune is seeking compensation for physical and mental pain, medical expenses, loss of earnings capacity, and other related damages.

The case number is 502024CA004530XXXAMB and was e-filed on May 15, 2024. The lawsuit concerns a vehicular accident involving a garbage truck owned by the city.
