Man sues multiple companies over negligence leading to severe injury

According to the complaint filed by Harris Cahn's attorneys David Aronberg and Jesse L. Young from Aronberg & Aronberg Injury Law Firm, Cahn tripped and fell in the parking garage of Akoya Boca West on August 16, 2020. The fall was allegedly due to poor lighting conditions and a negligently designed parking bumper. As a result of the incident, Cahn sustained serious injuries including a nondisplaced fractured C2 cervical vertebrae.

Cahn is seeking damages exceeding $50,000 for pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of capacity for enjoyment of life, inconvenience, medical expenses (past and future), physical handicap rehabilitation expenses, lost earnings (past and future), and lost earning capacity. The plaintiff claims these injuries are either permanent or continuing in nature.

In the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, Mr. Cahn has filed a lawsuit against Akoya at Boca West Country Club Condominium Association Inc., Akoya Associates LLC, Kast Construction III LLC, Akam On-Site Inc., Amkin Management LLC, Siemens Development LLC, BW-INV LLC, and AK Boca West LLC. The case number is 502024CA004446XXXAMB and was e-filed on May 13, 2024.

Cahn demands judgment for damages against all defendants named in the lawsuit including general damages as well as past and future medical expenses. Additionally, he seeks compensation for all out-of-pocket expenses incurred due to this action along with any other relief deemed just and proper under the circumstances.
