In the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in and for Pinellas County, Florida, case number 24-002046-CI, filed on May 9, 2024, Sara Yarmesch has initiated a lawsuit against Shiloh J. Filin and Patrice H. Filin. The lawsuit involves claims of negligence and premises liability.

On August 8, 2023, Yarmesch was cleaning the defendants' property at 1702 Mexico Avenue, Tarpon Springs, Florida when she slipped on unsecured carpet runners on the stairs. This incident resulted in significant injuries to her head and back. Represented by attorneys Christopher J. Bolduc and Nicholas M. Athanason from Athanason & Bolduc, P.A., Yarmesch alleges that the defendants failed to maintain a safe environment.

Yarmesch is seeking damages exceeding $50,000 for medical expenses, pain and suffering, loss of earnings, and other related costs incurred due to her injuries. She asserts that these damages will continue into the future.

The plaintiff demands a jury trial and seeks compensation for both permanent and non-permanent injuries as per Florida Statute 627.737.
