Patricia Sheire has filed a lawsuit against Vision Ace Hardware, LLC and Gesserts, Inc. in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida (Case No. 24-002055-CI) on May 9, 2024. The lawsuit alleges negligence resulting from a slip-and-fall incident that occurred on May 25, 2020.

According to the complaint, Sheire was shopping at the defendants' hardware store located at 1750 Main Street in Pinellas County when she slipped on an oil or grease substance on the floor. The plaintiff's attorney, Andrew Stinnette, asserts that the defendants failed to maintain safe premises and did not provide adequate warnings about the hazardous condition. Sheire claims to have suffered significant injuries including bodily harm, mental anguish, and loss of earnings due to this incident.

The damages sought by Sheire exceed $50,000 for each count of negligence against both Vision Ace Hardware and Gesserts, Inc. The plaintiff is seeking compensation for medical expenses, physical impairment, disfigurement, and other related costs stemming from her injuries.

Sheire demands a jury trial and seeks judgment against both defendants for their alleged failure to ensure a safe environment for customers.
