Jason White has filed a lawsuit against Berline Douze, Ejaz Nemat, Palm Beach Hospitalist Group, LLC, and Accountable Care Hospitalist Group, LLC. The case is being heard in the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida (Case No. 502024CA004366XXXAMB), with the filing date of May 10, 2024. The lawsuit seeks damages exceeding $50,000 for alleged medical negligence.

According to the complaint, Jason White was admitted to Jupiter Medical Center on May 15, 2022, for abdominal pain and underwent an appendectomy. Despite a microbiology culture indicating resistance to Augmentin, Defendants Douze and Nemat prescribed this antibiotic without awaiting culture results. White experienced worsening symptoms post-discharge and required readmission on May 23, 2022.

White's attorney is Jonathon T. Eberst from The Eberst Law Firm. The plaintiff alleges that due to incorrect antibiotic treatment by Douze and Nemat, he suffered severe complications including additional surgery and prolonged hospitalization from May 23 to June 8, 2022.

White seeks judgment for damages against all defendants for physical pain and suffering, disability, mental anguish, loss of capacity for enjoyment of life, medical expenses, and loss of earning ability. He demands compensation exceeding $50,000 along with taxable costs and prejudgment interest.
