Couple sues man for negligence in car accident causing severe injuries

In the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in and for Pinellas County, Florida, plaintiffs Nataliya Mulligan and Patrick Mulligan have filed a lawsuit against defendant Curtis Swan. The case, identified as 24-001970-CI, was e-filed on May 6, 2024. The lawsuit concerns an automobile accident that occurred on November 8, 2023.

According to the complaint filed by attorney David A. Papa of Papa Injury Law, Curtis Swan negligently drove his 2020 Ford Explorer into the side of a vehicle operated by Nataliya Mulligan while she was traveling northbound on Belcher Road at the intersection of Spanish Vista Drive in Pinellas County. As a result of this collision, Nataliya Mulligan suffered permanent bodily injuries leading to pain and suffering, disability, mental anguish, loss of capacity for enjoyment of life, and medical expenses.

The plaintiffs are seeking damages exceeding $50,000.00. They allege that Swan's negligence has caused ongoing and future losses for Nataliya Mulligan. Additionally, Patrick Mulligan claims loss of consortium due to the impact on his relationship with his wife following the incident.

The plaintiffs demand judgment against Curtis Swan for monetary damages including costs and any other relief deemed appropriate by the court. They also request a trial by jury on all issues so triable.
