In the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, plaintiff Katerin Molina Gonzalez has filed a lawsuit against defendants Sephora USA, Inc., a foreign profit corporation, and Jane Doe. The case, identified as number 502024CA004079XXXAMB Div: AE, was filed on May 1st, 2024.

The plaintiff alleges that she sustained damages in excess of $50,000 due to negligence on part of the defendants. She asserts that Jane Doe, whose true identity is known by Sephora but unknown to Gonzalez, was acting in her capacity as an employee or agent of Sephora at the time of the incident. Furthermore, Gonzalez claims that she was rightfully on the premises as a business invitee when the incident occurred.

The complaint outlines that Sephora and its agents had a duty to protect the public from dangerous conditions on their premises which they knew or should have known about. These include not properly placing advertisement displays in a safe manner, failing to maintain said display and other unsafe conditions. On December 26th (year unspecified), Gonzalez alleges that these negligent actions led to her damages.

Gonzalez seeks judgment for her damages exceeding $50,000 and reserves the right to amend her complaint once Jane Doe's true identity is revealed through discovery.
