Wendy K. Weiss sues The Standard Fire Insurance Company for vehicle accident negligence

Wendy K. Weiss and Howard Weiss have filed a lawsuit against The Standard Fire Insurance Company, also known as Travelers, Peter J. Capoccia, A-1 Lawn Care Plus Inc., and A-1 Lawn Care Plus Inc. doing business as All About Trees Tree Service, in the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida. The case number is 502024CA003810XXXAMB Div: AG and was filed on April 24, 2024.

The plaintiffs allege that Wendy K. Weiss was involved in a vehicle accident on May 31, 2022, with a landscaping truck operated by defendant Peter J. Capoccia and owned by the defendant businesses. The incident occurred while she was driving southbound on SR5/North Federal Highway at the intersection with NE 36th Street, Lighthouse Point, Broward County, Florida.

The complaint further alleges that Capoccia negligently operated or maintained the vehicle causing it to collide with the rear of Wendy K. Weiss's vehicle. As a result of this negligence, Wendy K. Weiss suffered bodily injury resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of capacity for enjoyment of life, expense of hospitalization and medical care treatment and loss of employment.

The plaintiffs are seeking damages exceeding $50,000 from all defendants jointly and severally for their alleged negligence which led to the accident and subsequent injuries.
