A former UPS driver has filed a lawsuit accusing the company of racial discrimination.

William Moody filed his complaint in federal court against United Parcel Service Inc.

According to the complaint, UPS terminated Moody's employment on December 30, 2022, because of his race.

Moody claims he was subjected to repeated verbal insults and provocation by his supervisor, Christopher Peterson, who also unfairly penalized him and other Black employees for minor offenses that white colleagues committed without reprimand.

He is seeking damages for lost wages and benefits as well as non-pecuniary losses including embarrassment, loss of enjoyment of life, anxiety and depression.
