Janet Bessenbacher sues Consolidated Resources Health Care Fund I for deprivation of appropriate health care

In the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial District in Palm Beach County, Florida, Janet Bessenbacher, individually and on behalf of the estate of Charles Bessenbacher, has filed a lawsuit against Consolidated Resources Health Care Fund I, LP (d/b/a Lakeside Health Center), Life Care Centers of America, Inc., and Fund I Investments, LP. The case was filed on April 19th, 2024 with the case ID 502024CA003700XXXAMB Div: AH.

The plaintiff alleges that the defendants deprived Charles Bessenbacher of appropriate health care during his stay at Lakeside Health Center from April 8th to June 5th, 2022. This resulted in significant damages exceeding $50,000 exclusive of interests, costs and attorney's fees. The plaintiff also asserts that all defendants have their principal place of business in Palm Beach County where the causes of action accrued.

Janet Bessenbacher accuses the defendants of operating, managing and owning Lakeside Health Center where her husband was a patient. The center is accused of providing inadequate healthcare services which led to detrimental consequences for Mr. Bessenbacher who had dementia, heart disease, dehydration, muscle weakness and hypertension.

The plaintiff seeks monetary damages in excess of $50,000 as compensation for the alleged deprivation of appropriate health care to Charles Bessenbacher at Lakeside Health Center.
