In the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit, Palm Beach County, Florida, Maria Pertsul has filed a lawsuit against Edson Lacerda Silva and Marcos Pereira. The case number is 502024CA003703XXXAMB Div: AE and was filed on April 19, 2024. The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 for injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

The complaint alleges that on January 13, 2024, defendant Silva negligently operated a vehicle owned by defendant Pereira resulting in a collision with Pertsul's vehicle. The plaintiff's lawyer Todd Norbraten of Morgan & Morgan, P.A., states that this negligence led to severe bodily injury to Pertsul including permanent impairment and loss of earnings.

The plaintiff also holds Pereira responsible under the doctrine of dangerous instrumentality for any damage or injury resulting from Silva's operation of the motor vehicle. She claims that she suffered physical and mental pain, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, inconvenience, loss of capacity for enjoyment of life among other losses due to the defendants' negligence.

Pertsul seeks judgment against both defendants individually in an amount exceeding $50,000 and requests a trial by jury for all issues triable as of right by a jury.
