Adam Van Hoesen sues State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company for refusal to pay uninsured motorist benefits following an accident

Adam Van Hoesen has filed a lawsuit against State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit, Pinellas County, Florida. The case, identified as 24-001735-CI, was filed on April 18, 2024.

The plaintiff is represented by attorneys Benjamin L. Crawford and Brian M. Giddings from Giddings Crawford, PLLC. The complaint states that Van Hoesen was involved in an accident on November 16, 2021 and had an active insurance policy with State Farm at the time. Despite fulfilling all conditions precedent to bringing this action, State Farm has allegedly failed or refused to pay Uninsured Motorist Benefits to the plaintiff.

Van Hoesen is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 for bodily injury resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, loss of capacity for enjoyment of life, expense of hospitalization, medical and nursing care and treatment, loss of earnings, and loss of ability to earn money. The full monetary value of the damages will be decided by a jury verdict.
