Sophia Kurtz has filed a lawsuit against Ross Dress for Less, Inc. in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit, Palm Beach County, Florida. The case number is 502024CA002954XXXAMB Div: AN and was filed on March 29, 2024. The plaintiff alleges negligence on part of the defendant resulting in personal injury.

Represented by Joseph C. Schulz from The Berman Law Group, Kurtz claims that she sustained serious injuries due to a fall caused by an oil-like substance on the floor of Ross Dress for Less store in Boynton Beach, Florida on August 16, 2023. She alleges that no warnings were placed near the area where the dangerous condition existed.

The complaint further details that the defendant's failure to maintain or inspect the area where the incident occurred resulted in her suffering bodily injuries, pain and suffering, disability, physical impairment among other damages. The plaintiff contends that this negligence has led to a loss of capacity for enjoyment of life and an aggravation of a previously existing condition.

Kurtz is seeking judgment against Ross Dress for Less, Inc., demanding damages exceeding $50,000 plus taxable costs and any other relief deemed just and proper by the court. She also demands a trial by jury.
