In a lawsuit filed on April 1, 2024, in the Circuit Court for the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida (Case No. 502024CA002967XXXAMB Div: AH), plaintiff Lameasha Coleman is suing defendant Publix Super Markets, Inc. The complaint alleges negligence on part of the supermarket chain leading to personal injury.

The plaintiff, represented by an unnamed counsel, alleges that she was a resident of West Palm Beach and was lawfully inside the Publix Super Market located at 2895 North Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Florida on October 10, 2023. It is claimed that due to an unknown liquid substance on the floor of the women's bathroom, she slipped and fell resulting in serious bodily injuries.

The complaint further alleges that Publix Super Markets and its employees failed to maintain safe conditions or warn customers about potential hazards which led to Coleman's fall and subsequent injuries. The damages sought exceed $50,000 exclusive of interest, fees, and costs.

Coleman seeks judgment against Publix Super Markets for negligence claiming they breached their duty by failing to provide proper maintenance and care of the supermarket premises among other allegations. She asserts that this breach resulted in her traumatic injuries.
