Frances Tapia sues Palm Tran for personal injury and damages

Frances Tapia has filed a lawsuit against Palm Tran, Inc. in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida (Case Number: 502024CA003232XXXAMB Div: AA). The case was filed on April 5, 2024 and pertains to an incident that allegedly resulted in personal injury and damages exceeding $50,000.

The plaintiff, represented by Gainza Law Group, LLC., alleges that she sustained injuries due to negligence on part of Palm Tran, Inc. and its employee. The incident took place on October 31, 2022 when Tapia was exiting a vehicle owned by Palm Tran and operated by one of its employees or agents. As Tapia approached the doors to exit, they were abruptly shut in her face causing injuries.

Tapia claims that as a direct result of this negligence, she suffered physical injuries, mental pain and suffering, loss of income both past and future, loss for the capacity for enjoyment of life and incurred medical expenses for care and treatment. She alleges these injuries are permanent and will continue to affect her in the future.

The plaintiff is seeking judgment against Palm Tran, Inc. for an amount exceeding $50,000 exclusive of costs. She also demands a trial by jury for all issues triable as a matter of right.
