Steven Coderre sues Progressive Select Insurance Company for negligence causing serious injuries

Steven Coderre has filed a lawsuit against Progressive Select Insurance Company in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit, Pinellas County, Florida. The case, identified as 24-001449-CI, was filed on April 1, 2024. The plaintiff alleges that the defendant's negligence resulted in an accident that caused him serious injuries and is seeking damages exceeding $50,000.

Coderre's lawyer, Dylan Beitel of Morgan & Morgan, Tampa, P.A., argues that at the time of the accident on July 14, 2023, Coderre was insured by Progressive Select Insurance Company. Richard Walker, an underinsured motorist and resident of Hillsborough County allegedly caused the accident near Nursery Road and S Belcher Road in Pinellas County.

The plaintiff claims to have suffered physical and mental pain and suffering as a result of the accident. He has incurred large expenses for medical treatment and travel to obtain medical treatment. Additionally, his ability to work and earn money has been permanently impaired due to his injuries.

Coderre is seeking judgment against Progressive Select Insurance Company for damages in excess of $50,000 and requests a trial by jury. His claim is based on his insurance policy with the defendant which provides underinsured motorists' coverage.
